Heru, Janx is good but lack of public acceptance, their positive side is their effort to simplify server side XML parsing to produce HTML, which XSLT is rated 'overwhelmed'. Now, how good they've tried to optimize the performance ... incorporating XML in presentation will always carry overhead on tree parsing (and the're using DOM) . Separating role of HTML designer and Java programmer is not the issue. Custom Tag library (JSP 1.1)has been the answer. And it's arguably faster ! In higher (project management) perspective, what we are struggling most in Software Development is Architecture... and architecture is not only about above mentioned. It is about design decision how system will meet scalability, maintability, supportibility requirement, etc given time frame, available resource etc. In that extends Apache Jakarta Project (jakarta.apache.org) : STRUTS seems more interesting. Apache is wider accepted. It talks more on architecture level , and encourage good and robust design, where even 10 years of programming experience will find it difficult to level. It supports separation of role (as Janx does), excelent handling of Internationalization, automatic setter and getter execution (it's a 'instropection' magic of Java Lang) between bus logic and presentation, and clear adoption of MVC pattern. Or maybe Jakarta AVALON ? Despite my thorough view, I am still in inception phase (talks is easiear than done, hee ...hee ) where decision has not been made whether Struts is good for us. Feedback and 'Struts' (and AVALON) experiences from 'man-teman' is welcomed !!! -wassalam- --- Heru Sunandar <heru @ somewhere.in.the.world> wrote: > > Assalammualaikum, > > Bagi yang bosen tehadap JSP dan Servlet atau php > atau asp kini ada : > The New server-side Java application framework untuk > develop dynamic > website. > Namanya Janx Framework.
